Bob has been a collector of minerals and fossils for 30+ years, and Helen has an art background with an art history degree, and managed her family's art gallery years ago. The idea of Nature's Collectibles came about in 1998 on an Agate collecting trip on a California backroad. As a couple over the years, they have worked in the medical field, Bob as an internal medicine physician and Helen as a nurse and nursing administrator. The beauty of fine minerals and fossils, as well as the art created by artists all over the world using these, created a balance for Bob who continues his medical practice. Helen has been busy as a jewelry designer since 1999, with her Deirdre Designs, and as owner of our gallery in Monterey, California since 2004. In addition to the website and Gallery, we have been exhibitors at many fine Gem and Mineral Shows each year including the one at the Tucson Convention Center each February. We are continually looking for new beautiful things for our customers in our travels, the last being a trip to Russia in 2007 with the purchase of exceptional quality gemstone boxes.
