 This is a top quality large Calcite crystal from the now closed Elmwood Mine in Smith County , Tennessee. It has the deep color yet good clarity and is translucent. It is almost undamaged with the expection of a small indentation in a back edge of the crystal about 1/2" down not seen from the front. The bottom of the crystal is flat and it displays perfectly. My best remaining Calcite from an old collection. 8 1/2" by 6" by 5 1/4".
